President: Michael Sharman

Michael has been passionate about men’s work for the past 30 years having been an instigator of both TasMen and it’s annual men’s gathering. He is aware the quality of his life has been improved immeasurably through his connection and work with men in this community.

Michael wants this community (TasMen) to grow exponentially, allowing other men to benefit from their connection with other great men.

Married with 2 adult children, Michael can be found in the waters of the Derwent most mornings enjoying the company of other TasMen blokes, the beautiful coastline and cold water itself. What a way to start a day.

Treasurer: Tim Rockett

I am a father to two boys and love living in Tasmania. Menswork has proved to be a massive benefit to me and I see this as a good opportunity for me to give back to the community.

Secretary: Neil Cummings

I have recently moved to Hobart. Born and raised in Perth, WA, I also spent close to a decade living in the US. My introduction to Men's work began 10 years ago in Nashville and I have continued my involvement in various Men's groups since I moved back to Aus.

I have worked across many industries including Music, Hospitality, Disability and Health sectors.

I love spending time in nature, whether in the water, bushwalking, on MTB trails or out on the golf course. I enjoy thoughtful conversations with fellow seekers.

Board Member: Mick Earle

I am a 53 year old man living on the Tasman peninsula where I currently work as a carpenter. I have a deep passion for creating community connection. I do this through live music, community radio and mens groups. I have been participating in mens work now for over 20 years, running workshops and involved in organising committees . This honest true grit work we do greatly inspires me. Without it, I may not be here today.

I enjoy hiking in remote areas, astro photography, motorcycle riding, live music, gardening and bringing community together. I have worked previously as an outdoor recreation facilitator, youth worker, safety officer, cook, deck hand and capsicum seed extractor!!

I have travelled to some of the hottest and coolest parts of this planet and through these character building times I bring these experiences to the Tasmen committee. I feel honoured to be working in the presence of such great men!!

Board member: Ross Adams

I am 60 years old, retired and widowed with two children, Jack (26) and May (23). I live in Kingston Beach with my daughter and part of the time in Mount Stewart with my new partner.

I discovered Tasmen at a difficult time in my life and the community helped me through. I hope to give something back with my time on the Tasmen committee.

I am a nerd who likes board games and computer games, also walking, swimming and bird watching.

Board Member: Paul Davis

In 2019, I attended the Tasmanian Men’s Gathering, which led me to join the Hobart Men’s

Circle and participate in TasMen’s Leadership Program. It is fair to say that I am now hooked

on men’s work. As a committee member, I am excited to contribute to this community that

provides men with opportunities for personal growth and authentic connections.

Specifically, I am interested in supporting men who wish to establish and grow men’s circles.

Board member: Stu Edwards

In 2022, I embarked on my menswork journey with TasMen. Quickly realising the significant personal benefits it brought to my own life, it ignited a passion for assisting other men and contributing to the community. As the current TasMen Gathering (TMG) Event Coordinator, I also dedicate my time to volunteering with Prison Fellowship Australia.

I am a proud father and love ocean swimming, cycling and quality time with my two young daughters.
