Men's Groups around Tasmania.
Below you will find information on a number of mens groups currently running. Some men's group are 'open' and some are 'closed'. 'Open' means just that, come when you can, 'Closed' means request needed to join them. Some offer relaxation and meditation, some are experiential (outdoors) some more traditional involving circle work and exploring matters deeply from a personal perspective.
What is a Men's Group? The following from an interested member of a local Men's Group pretty much sums it up:
A men's group aims to provide a regular environment in which members are open to discussing the many things that men find little chance to discuss with their families, their work mates, at the pub or the footy team. It aims to create an environment of trust and support in which men can share their stories, learn to identify and enunciate their feelings, take ownership of them and grow as men in our community and families. They can be anything from very intense to very social and are an important contribution to the lives of men in our society. Most are open to newcomers, very inviting and supportive and experienced with almost every feeling men are known to experience.
The groups that are included here are independently organised and conducted and any requests for more information must be directed to the particular group identified in the listing.
